got a pretty manual

I bought a magic lantern guide for my camera.  I haven't got very far into it yet, but what I have read seems very enlightening.  I think that it will definitly teach me a lot.  It better, for $20.

Hmmm...  I'm not sure how this is going to work out, since I already have a regular journal, but I can try.   So my first item of business in this journal is this: I recently gave in and purchased a DSLR to replace my 30-odd year old Canon A-1 as my primary camera. I did not want to do this.  I don't know how to use this thing.  Obviously I've figured out how to take a picture on the automatic point-and-shoot setting.  I've even learned from the manual how to choose my focal point.  And I managed to figure out on my own how to turn the flash off and switch from auto to manual focus. It does funny things that my manual does not cover.  I b
